Born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, Viviana is a former corporate worker turned social entrepreneur. As Head of Impact for CadaVida, she is responsible for day-to-day leadership in all areas of the organization.
Viviana has over ten years of professional experience, in project management, business development and management. Prior to her founding of CadaVida, Viviana served as Managing Director and co-founder at Transfer CAP, an investment and advisory firm focused on China’s cleantech industry. Viviana also held various positions at Schneider Electric SA, including Project Scheduler and Technical Coordinator, where she played a key role in managing activities of cross-functional teams based in Europe, USA, Asia and South America to develop large-scale, industrial renewable energies solution systems.
Viviana has received recognition for her work with CadaVida, including the FOCO award from the Angelica Fuentes Foundation, the first private foundation devoted to empowering women and girls in Latin America. She was recently selected as a participant in the first-ever cohort of “50 Under 40” by American Express, an exclusive, funded program for Emerging Social Enterprise Leaders. She was also selected as a 2013 Cordes Fellow, an annual fellowship assigned to exceptional social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders engaged in poverty alleviation and economic justice enterprises.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Viviana received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Belfort Montbeliard UTBM, in France and holds a Master’s Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole des Mines de Paris with a concentration in Industrial Management and Logistics Systems. Viviana’s education also includes studies at Graduate Level International Business Programs at Boston University, the Sorbonne in Paris and the THNK School of Creative Leadership in Amsterdam.
